It was a joy to spend the morning with so many happy and familiar faces at the WA Occupational Therapy Association OT Week 2021 Breakfast.
Although OT Week has come to an end for another year, the memories of a fantastic week will live on.
The annual OT Week Breakfast is the flagship event on the WA Occupational Therapy Association (WAOTA) calendar.
Every year, Occupational Therapists in WA look forward to coming together to celebrate this amazing profession as a group.
This year’s breakfast, which unifies the theme “Community at Home” was celebrated with great enthusiasm and was a huge success.
We had a great day catching up with many of the occupational therapists we work with daily and making new friends.
We were inspired by guest speaker Hon Helen Morton who spoke about “Staying in Place”, a project developed in Pingelly by the community over the past three years.
This year’s awards honoured three individuals who have made significant contributions to the occupational therapy community. Jenny Fowler with her significant contribution to her local community, and the wider occupational therapy profession over many years, Lynda Quigley for her ongoing work with WAOTA and Rebecca Anderson for her leadership and dedication to the WAOTA student committee.
