Soon to become a welcoming, accessible and safe space to view and trial equipment, our new showroom is finally beginning to take shape!
Our progress
2020 saw the consolidation of our warehouses and the roll out of an expert warehouse master plan at our new premises located at 27 Alexandra Place in Bentley.
In what seemed like a short year, we worked around the clock as an essential service provider to look after the safety and infection control needs of our customers, helped with fitting out Covid-19 clinics across WA and pressed on with developing our new showroom, warehouse and offices.
It is a wonder how supercharged we were last year to have managed the implementation of an improved warehouse management system, dealt with unforeseen challenges (such as having to upgrade legacy sprinkler systems to suit new safety conventions) and persisted with all the necessary measures to get our building permits in place despite half the industry working from home.
Our timeline for progress took a hit due to circumstances beyond our control but we are nonetheless happy to see visible construction progress at our new premises now happening every day.
Our new showroom has been designed with you in mind
Set to be WA’s largest showroom for hospital, aged care, disability and community equipment, our new showroom has been designed with your needs in mind.
When it is ready, our new showroom will become a resource centre created to maximize growth, opportunity, educate and inform. The public will be able to enjoy free equipment advice and trial essential assistive technology products through inspirational spaces featuring bedroom products, outdoor mobility and more.
Inclusive spaces have been designed for community providers to bring clients in for morning tea and take advantage of educational talks such as how to develop safer living practices at home.
To encourage industry collaboration, community therapists who call Unicare home will be able to enjoy complimentary hot desking facilities between meetings, access to café style beverages and relaxation zones for social interaction.
Hospital and aged care procurement teams will be able to view and select equipment from an expanded range of global brands for new hospital and residential aged care facility fitouts.
Patients being discharged from hospitals will be able to take advantage of our new patient discharge equipment services currently being rolled out at selected hospitals across Perth.
NDIS therapists will be able to trial equipment such as hoists and pressure care equipment with their clients and care team in safe and welcoming spaces.
Walls have started to define spaces in our new showroom and we can’t wait to share all this with you!
Our new offices
This is what our new offices currently looks like!
When completed, our new offices will feature open plan flexible working spaces to facilitate creative thinking and interactivity among teams.
Collaborative working spaces have been proposed for staff to take advantage of hot desking opportunities, have access to meeting spaces for work, relax in chill out zones, and enjoy cafe-style lunchroom facilities.
Larger spaces will accommodate a growing team, promote healthy and mindful activities as well as promote workplace unity.
Warehouse and Operations
Our warehouses have been integrated to handle increasing demand for equipment, expansion of product ranges and to provide a seamless end-to-end customer experience across the state.
Increasing demand for products and services from WA public health, and growing partnerships with major aged care and community providers in WA has seen the need for a larger integrated warehouse to cope with the fulfilment of health care demands through increased automation and optimization of warehouse processes.
What will happen to our current premises?
As we continue rolling out our new patient discharge equipment services at hospitals across Perth, our current premises will likely house Unicare Health’s expanding equipment rental fleet to meet increasing demand for short term rehabilitation needs.
