3 important safety tips to bear in mind when operating your mobility scooter
We’ve picked 3 important safety tips from our training session to share with you.
Charging your scooter batteries
Scooter batteries prefer to be overcharged than undercharged.
Batteries should be charged in a well-ventilated area when not in use.
Do not attempt to cover batteries when they are charging. This might cause overheating.
Moisture will enter the batteries via condensation if you charge your scooter overnight under a carport exposed to cold weather.
Liquids
Do not use your scooter in the rain or dash across puddles.
Using your scooter in the rain interferes with the electronics.
Always keep food and drinks away from the control box and electrical fittings.
Tyre Pressure
Under-inflated tyres can affect your scooter’s stability and efficiency.
The recommended pressure should be marked on the scooter tyres.
We aim to impart these safety tips and loads more to our customers with every scooter delivered.
